THIS AND THAT..........Saturday

Though I am so tired of reading & talking about Terrell Owens, as a blogger I have to recognize the fact that this P.I.T.A.(pain in the ass) is news. To me teams are risking everything even talking to him, much less signing him to a contract. FOXSports NFL Insider, Jay Glazer & their chief blogger, Alex Marvez, are both reporting two teams are in hot pursuit of Owens. Glazer reports Owens & his parasite agent, Drew Rosenhaus, are currently in Buffalo trying to put something together. I can almost understand this one, Buffalo's Dick Jauron is really on the hot seat with their second half collapse in '08. But the second team makes no sense to me at all, the Broncos are reportedly interested in talking to Owens & Rosenhaus too. Couple this to the Cassel/Cutler furor new head coach Josh McDaniel created & you wonder just how long this guy will survive in Denver. I wonder if they are in panic mode over a pending multi-game suspension that may come down for WR Brandon Marshall. As good as rookie Eddie Royal was last year, he certainly isn't a #1 receiver, not now & probably not ever. What is it about these coaches & GM's that believe "oh, he'll be different for us"? Denver especially, this is a young team still trying to find it's way, they certainly don't need a selfish, disruptive, 36-year old causing a rift in your locker room. The Bills? I think you can chalk it up to desperation, they led the eastern division early on last season & then finished last. ESPN also mentioned Cincinnati & Kansas City as possibilities.........I don't think so.  Marvin Lewis is still strapped with one of Rosenhaus' P.I.T.A.'s, Chad 'Ocho Cinco' Johnson & I don't see Owens being the type of player Scott Pioli wants to rebuild the Kansas City franchise.

Late Friday, Dallas signed ex-Charger DE, Igor Olshansky to replace departed free agent Chris Canty. Pretty much the same player too, both tall, both approx. 300 lbs, both solid run defenders, same age & both with little pass rush.

Coming Monday, the TOP 64 in APRIL'S Draft part III, from #17 to #32 & later in the week, my top 16 players. Also, I'll start giving you team needs by division. First up; the NFC East.
