PEPPERS, BOLDIN OR EDWARDS TO THE CHIEFS?
I've received several inquiries about the possibility of the Chiefs trading for Panther DE, Julius Peppers, Cardinal WR, Anquan Boldin or Browns' wide receiver, Braylon Edwards. I see no way the Chiefs would give up multiple picks for either Edwards or Boldin. Peppers might be a different story. The Panthers don't have a quality tight end, their starter, Jeff King, caught 21 passes last season. If we must trade Tony Gonzalez, then add a 3rd round pick & see if Carolina will bite. They don't want to pay him what he's currently franchised for, K.C. has lots of cap room & getting help for Steve Smith & Jake Delhomme might interest them. This might end up being like the Cassel trade, in that the Panthers might get nervous as draft day approaches thinking they have no 1st round pick, no TE & an out of whack salary cap. They want Dorsey? That could be arranged as well, I know DT is the top priority right after tight end. I don't want to surrender the #3 overall pick without a 3rd coming back this way. It's probably all rumor anyway.
