CHIEFS TRADE TONY GONZALEZ
The Chiefs just traded All-Pro tight end, Tony Gonzalez, to the Atlanta Falcons for a 2010 second round draft pick. More soon.
*Update--I have confirmed the trade from several sources & sadly for Chiefs' fans, the 2nd pick isn't in this year's draft. So no immediate help.
Gonzalez made the Pro Bowl 10 times in 12 seasons with the Chiefs, he is the all-time leader among tight ends in receptions, yards & touchdowns & is a certain Hall of Famer. He was a Hall of Famer off the field as well. Gonzalez also has a dubious record, not of his making, as having the most receptions in NFL history without ever winning a playoff game.
