COWBOYS' ROY WILLIAMS INJURED
The guy that was supposed to become 'the man' at wide receiver in Dallas, Roy Williams, was injured at a practice this evening. During a goal line run-thru, Williams & cornerback Orlando Scandrick collided, Williams slumping to the turf. After laying there for several minutes, Williams began yelling in anger. He was taken to the locker room & the word tonight is a possible broken collarbone. An MRI will be conducted tomorrow, but a couple of players said X-Rays showed a fracture. Owner Jerry Jones gave the Lions a 1st, 3rd & 6th round picks for Williams mid-way thru last season. If Williams is unable to go & short of making an even worse trade for another wide receiver, this could very well be a death blow to Dallas' season.
*UPDATE: ESPN's John Smith reports Williams didn't sustain a fracture but an MRI will be performed Friday. Smith said a Cowboy source told him Williams would be out for the remainder of the pre season.
