MY CONFERENCE CHAMPION PICKS

College football starts in less than 2 hours so I guess the time has come to show my ignorance & post my conference champion picks for your approval, or disapproval.

Big-12.....Texas.....see my Big-12 breakdown tomorrow

Big-10.....Penn State.....Penn State has the favorable schedule, gets Ohio State in Happy Valley

PAC-10.....USC.....Trojans lose @ Ohio State & @ Cal, still wins PAC-10 with 8-1 record

Southeastern.....Florida.....except for Tebow, Gators lost most of their offense, still win SEC with 8-1 mark

Atlantic Coast.....Georgia Tech.....Best running offense in the country, Va Tech's schedule too tuff

Big East.....Rutgers.....Conference is down this year. Rutgers or Cincinnati? I flipped a coin

Western Athletic.....Boise State.....If they beat Oregon tonight, they'll go undefeated

Mountain West.....TCU.....Liked BYU until they started having injuries on O-line, TCU plays awesome defense

Rose Bowl.....Ohio State vs. USC.....OSU wins in September, USC kills them in rematch

Sugar Bowl.....Cal vs. Florida.....I know, I know you're thinking I've lost my mind

Fiesta Bowl.....Boise State vs. Oklahoma.....rematch of of one of the most entertaining bowl games ever

Orange Bowl.....LSU vs. Georgia Tech.....Tigers beat Gators in Oct. but lose in SEC title game

BCS National Championship Game.....Penn State vs. Texas.....the only undefeated teams in the land.

Best game tonight: Oregon @ Boise State. Oregon is ready for a brawl, they didn't like the late hit last year on their QB & the loss they took at the hands of the Broncos. But winning on the Smurf Blue field in Boise is a tall order. LeGarrette Blunt, Oregon RB, is a beast at 255 pounds & Boise run defense was the weak link last season. Oregon has new coach Chip Kelly at the helm, tough place to begin your head coaching career. Look for a high scoring game, Boise State 41  Oregon 38.
