NFL INJURY NEWS CONCERNING CHIEFS & CHARGERS
Once again here we are on Sunday morning & who will start at quarterback for Kansas City is up in the air. Will it be Matt Cassel or Brodie Croyle? Cassel practiced all week, but he did last week & come Sunday morning he was put on the inactive list. Cornerback Brandon Flowers is in the same boat, his sore shoulder the cause for concern. He too, will be a game time decision.
The Chargers suffered a real blow to their defense yesterday when they were forced to put nose tackle Jamal Williams on injured reserve. A triceps injury will keep him out for the entire season. The 12-year veteran has started on the nose in San Diego for 10 years. The only other nose tackle on the roster is Ogemdi Nwagbuo, a 2nd year player from Michigan State who's about 50 pounds smaller than Williams. The Chargers will also be without center Nick Hardwick & defensive end Travis Johnson(a backup). Right guard Louis Vasquez left Monday's game in Oakland with a leg injury, but he apparently will play vs Baltimore on Sunday. I liked the Ravens before these injuries were announced, unless the line gets wacky, I like them even more.
Hate the hook on the Pat-Jet game, so I think I'll stay away. Gotta check Pitt & NYG for movement, don't like anything else.
