CRABTREE TELLS THE NINERS "CAN'T TOUCH THIS"
Just when you think the Michael Crabtree/Forty-Niners standoff can't get any more strange, get a load of this. The Santa Rosa Press-Democrat's Matt Maiocco has been tweeting late today that both sides have met in a Santa Rosa hotel in an effort to reach an agreement between Crabtree & the Niners. As I read Maiiocco's Twitter page I became more & more bewildered. San Fran V.P. of Football Operations, Paraag Marathe, met all afternoon with Crabtree's agent, Eugene parker & get a hold of yourself, M.C. Hammer. Jeez, it's hard to figure out why the guy isn't signed when you've got M.C. Hammer on the job, 'Hammerin' out the details of a $20 million 5-year deal right? Just kick in 20 pairs of gold parachute pants O.K.? I've said several times on this blog Crabtree was making mistakes he might not ever recover from. But now that I know M.C. Hammer is on the job, I know everything is going to work out just fine. From ridiculous to really bizarre.
