LOOKS LIKE LARRY JOHNSON HAS "TWEETED" HIMSELF OUT OF KANSAS CITY

Like yesterday's humiliation at Arrowhead wasn't bad enough, now Chiefs fans will be required to endure even more embarrassment thanks to Larry Johnson. Just when I was defending Johnson for his Twitter outburst against Todd Haley on his Twitter account, he crossed the line in a hateful way that will probably get him released. In a several posts late last night, Johnson got into a Twitter spat with a fan. He then called the fan a number of derogatory names that can only be described as really hateful & disgusting. I'm not going to quote Johnson here, suffice to say his remarks would be offensive to most people, especially those in the Gay & Lesbian community. Then this morning in the Arrowhead locker room, he used the same names referring to the press assembled in front of his locker.

His Tweets last night slamming Todd Haley might have been enough to get him released & one could make the case it was intentionally done to get him released so he could land somewhere with a contender. But the repulsive gay bashing will have consequences beyond being thrown off a lousy 1-6 team. Now the NFL will become involved, which is never good when we're talking disciplinary issues. Johnson's contract isn't guaranteed, it was ruled that way in the off season by a special arbitrator, so he stands to lose about $1.9 million left on his deal for this season. This is another reason I think the Chiefs will release Johnson. He also becomes radioactive in regards to being signed with another team. In this politically correct environment, saying the things Johnson said will get you fired & will restrict your chances of getting hired again real soon. What he said wasn't in the heat of the moment, he said these repugnant things last night & he said then again 12 hours later. I have to believe this is what's in his heart, which is really sad, I've never understood why so many young African-American males have such rage & hate for gays. As people of color, why isn't there more understanding & compassion?  I hope we don't see Jesse or Al stepping out in front of Johnson, finding a way to put a palatable spin on such horrible behavior.

I think Larry may become even more known than he's ever been, but now it's not going to be about his exploits on the field, it will be about hate, intolerance & arrogance, which isn't a positive thing. Shoving women around in bars & spitting on people certainly didn't endear you to Kansas Citians, you were a real talent with too many personal demons & now it's time to go. Nice knowing you Larry, don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out O.K.?
