CHIEFS CUTTING LARRY JOHNSON
ESPN is reporting this morning the Chiefs will release running back Larry Johnson. Considering his antics of 2 weeks ago, I doubt, that barring injuries on a true contender, anyone will rush to claim the PITA(pain in the ass) running back. I'm sure that before too long, LJ will go on a Twitter rampage against the Chiefs & their fans. An online petition sent to the Chiefs organization, from over 9,000 fans, demanded Johnson' release before he broke the franchise rushing record held by Priest Holmes. LJ ought to own up to his problems in Kansas City, it wasn't those fans who pushed women to the floor in bars or spit on them. It wasn't those fans who refused to put him in a game, that was Dick Vermeil, but it was the fans who were treated badly in the wake of Vermeil's choices. LJ made much of this mess on his own, he got his wish, he got released from this pathetic team. I think he's going to have a lot of time to reflect on what went wrong with the Chiefs, but at least he won't ever have to spend another night in Kansas City. Which everyone will be happy about.
