MY COLLEGE PLAYS
Very short play list today as the lines have moved so much, I can't pull the trigger on only 2 games, but I have pretty stout bets on both. I liked both Oregon & Oregon State, but both went up 1 1/2 points. I also wanted the Houston-Central Florida game over 62 1/2. Unfortunately it went to 65 1/2, so no go. Stanford tries to not fall victim like many of their PAC-10 counterparts, fall on your face the week after a big win. They travel to Los Angeles to play USC, a team that has never lost in November under Pete Carroll. He's 28-0 as the Trojan head coach in the 11th month. Two important games in the lackluster Big-12 North today. Can K-State keep winning at home versus the Missouri Tigers & will Bo Pelini find enough offense to beat Kansas on the road?
Houston(-4 1/2) at Central Florida
I've been a supporter of Houston this season, they've covered 4 of the 5 I've bet with them so far. QB Case Keenum continues to make some Heisman noise & he shouldn't have trouble creating a din over in Orlando today. The Golden Knights are ranked 83rd in the country versus the pass, good news for Houston. Texas lit them up last week, yielding over 400 yards in the air. Houston also has too much speed outside for UCF to handle. Now, can the Houston defense get off the field once & a while to allow Keenum to work his magic & cover by 10 points? 11 AM CBS-CHD
Texas Tech at Oklahoma State over 60 1/2
Don't see much defense in this game. Texas tech can score as quick as anyone in the country & Taylor Potts returns as the starter at quarterback. Zac Robinson's offense has clawed their way back after losing Kendall Hunter for 5 games & all-world WR Dez Bryant for the season to a ridiculous suspension. See at least 65 points in this game. 7:15 PM ABC
If the Cougars cover early in the day, the temptation to take the 19 1/2 points with Utah against TCU tonight might be enough to get me to make a small wager on the Utes.
