MY SATURDAY PLAYS

Since this illness I have doesn't allow any sleep, I'll go ahead & tell you my picks for Saturday. Last week I split, losing the vigourish(vig). Kansas State covered the -2 but Washington lost by 6, unable to cover the +3.

As I've said for years, I don't handicap the TV Guide, so you're not going to get Penn St/Alabama, Miami/Ohio State etc, leave that up to the parasites from the sports' services. My picks aren't glamorous, aren't too exciting, but I like them nevertheless. Bold letters indicate the pick.

Georgia at South Carolina under 46 1/2
In the past 5 meetings, the total has stayed under 32 points in 4 of the contests. last season they blew up the scoreboard 41-37. But Dawgs are playing without their #1 offensive threat, wide receiver A.J. Green. Both teams can play defense. South Carolina 20 Georgia 16

Georgia Tech at Kansas under 50 1/2
Yellowjackets hung 41 points on South Carolina State last week. They open their conference schedule next week, so I don't see them running it up on KU. The Jayhawks will play better this week after being humiliated at the hands of the North Dakota Bison, losing 6-3 in Turner Gill's coaching debut. Georgia Tech 31 Kansas 10

I hate betting unders, but I hate betting TV games even worse. Those games have the sharpest lines on them because they are the most bet games. I like Michigan a little, just not enough to make a laydown.
