SATURDAY PLAYS
Last Saturday I went 3-1, but that was last Saturday, here's my plays for today:
Notre Dame vs. Navy +7 at the Meadowlands
Too many points to give a team that has beaten ND 2 of the last 3 & the third was an overtime game covered by the Midshipmen. Irish without All-American TE Kyle Rudolph, their 2nd leading receiver, for the remainder of the season, major loss.
UConn at Louisville -3
Game opened UConn -2 but Randy Edsall changed quarterbacks & will go with a freshman. I liked the Cardinals at +2, still like them enough at -3 for a small play.
Georgia Tech +4 1/2 at Clemson
Tech loss at Kansas was a mirage, Clemson continues to underachieve in a sub-par ACC. They've beaten an awful Maryland team & 2 Division 1AA teams while losing two conference games already. Tech is 3-1 in conference play, still in the hunt.
Washington +6 1/2 at Arizona
Cats don't have starting QB Nick Foles, out with a knee injury. Washington hung on last week besting Oregon State in overtime & they downed USC three weeks ago in the Coliseum. Washington beat Zona last year in a squeaker & laying 6 1/2 points is too much for Arizona right now.
