SATURDAY PLAYS
West Virginia was in a giving mood last night, fumbling 7 times & losing 4 of them on their way to a 16-13 overtime loss. Their last fumble was at the UConn 2-yardline in the first drive of overtime. Uuuhhhhh. Moving on......here's today plays.
Duke at Navy -14
Duke, riding a 6-game losing streak, having been blown out in 4 of them, just doesn't have the horses to stay with Navy's ferocious running attack. Their only win was against Division 1AA Elon while Navy has handled SMU, La Tech, Wake Forest & they crushed Notre Dame last week. I hate laying a lot of chalk, but this is a real mismatch.
Missouri +7 1/2 at Nebraska
Mizzou beat BCS #1 last week, Huskers outscored #15 Oklahoma State 51-41. Nebraska hasn't beaten two top-20 teams back-to-back in eleven years. They've been less than sparkling against the spread in Lincoln, just 4-10 since the arrival of Bo Pelini. I'm not going to be the least bit shocked if Nebraska wins, but getting more than a touchdown seems like a lot.
