WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON OUT AT ARROWHEAD? WHERE'S WIKILEAKS WHEN YOU REALLY NEED IT?
Kansas City Chiefs starting quarterback Matt Cassel was absent from practice today. The club announced they had promoted QB Tyler Palko from the practice squad to the 53-man roster. What the hell is going on? Is it anything? Is Cassel sick/injured/attending to private matters? Was Palko promoted to keep him from being signed off the practice squad by another team? Was he put on the 53-man roster to actually backup Brodie Croyle?

UPDATE @ 1:50 PM: Haley said Matt Cassel would be listed on the league's injury report with an illness. "I won't go into that subject anymore" the coach said. Really? The Chiefs are normally so forthcoming with information regarding their roster. He did say Palko was signed off the practice squad because they needed another QB for practice & they had intended to promote Palko before Cassel's illness. Reserve cornerback Ricky Bates was put on I.R. to open up a roster spot for Palko. So is Cassel going to be able to play Sunday in San Diego? Who the hell knows, what kind of illness has Cassel contracted? "I won't go into on that subject anymore" says it all. When will Julian Assange produce internal Chiefs' memos & emails on Wikileaks?
