GIANTS-VIKINGS MOVED AGAIN

When I went to bed last night, the plan for the Giant-Viking game was to move it to Monday night. Then overnight, the roof at the Minneapolis Metrodome collapsed under the weight of a 17-inch snow & high winds. Part of the roof was torn in the wind & the playing surface has snow on it. Since the roof couldn't be repaired by tomorrow evening, the NFL moved the game yet again. Only this time they moved it geographically, to Detroit's Ford Field. The game will kickoff Monday evening at 6:20 ET. No word yet on television coverage. If you're in the Detroit area & have finished all your Christmas shopping, you can go to the game, the tickets are free to the public. This policy is similar to the time when the San Diego Chargers had to move a home game to Phoenix because of SoCal wildfires. Those tickets were free as well. Will Brett Favre play tomorrow night with 30 extra hours of rehab time?

Bill Cowher said on the CBS Pre-game show he expected the Raiders to win in Jacksonville & San Diego to beat Kansas City. He went on to say the Raider-Chiefs game on January 2nd would decide the AFC West & "the Raiders will win it & make the playoffs." Dan Marino's response was "coach what are you smoking?"
