MORE REACTION TO OHIO STATE PRESS CONFERENCE

Now we're going to find out just how powerful Ohio State, the Big-Ten Conference & their commissioner Jim Delaney really are. Will the NCAA lower the boom even more on the OSU football program and/or it's coach? Will they vacate any/all of the Buckeye wins from last season? I think that after Tattoo-Gate was first exposed last December 16th & the offenders still were able to play in the Sugar Bowl should tell you just how powerful the trio above really is. There's not a way on earth these five starters should have been permitted to play in the bowl game. But let's look what was at stake. Ohio State had lost 9 consecutive game to the Southeastern Conference. They were playing Arkansas, considered to be a second-tier SEC team, certainly behind Bama, Auburn & LSU last season. Even with the five starters, the Buckeyes barely won, 31-26.

I just watched the full press conference again & a couple of things really stuck out to me. One, at no time did Tressel admit he did anything wrong. Two, at no time did Tressel ever apologize for bringing trouble down on his university. Three, when asked "does this tarnish your reputation?" Tressel replied "I don't think less of myself at this moment." Really???? Something you have done has brought shame to your university, cost you a quarter of a million dollars & got you suspended for 2 games & you don't have a problem with what you've done?

With the recent history of the NCAA really hammering violators who lie to them, like Dez Bryant(suspended for 8 games) or Tennessee basketball coach Bruce Pearlman(8 game suspension without pay), it will be interesting to see how the college sports' sanctioning body reacts to Coach Sweater Vest's transgressions.

Once again we have another prime example, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube or email, once it's been there, somebody can find it, even when they're not looking for it. If you say something you don't want others to see using one of these, someone will see it, it's almost guaranteed.
