TONG G. SPEAKS HIS MIND, TERRELL SUGGS - MOVIEMAKER, BRANDON MARSHALL STABBED & ALL-SEC CB ARRESTED.....AGAIN
All-World tight end Tony Gonzalez spoke last night about a proposed rookie salary cap & the way he said it, it appears Tony has more on his plate than labor negotiations. "I don't know what's going on with these negotiations, maybe it has been brought up. Maybe they can't do it for whatever reason but it seems like the common-sense answer right there" Said Tony G. "For a rookie to be guaranteed $60-70 million & I think everyone will agree with me, is absolutely ridiculous. They have not played a down on that field, you might as well take that money & give it to the veterans & maybe that solves some type of problem where we give back a little bit to the ownership" he added. These negotiations have been going on for what, 4 months? A proposed rookie wage scale has been part of the conversation since day 1. The owners don't want to pay ridiculously high guaranteed bonus money to unproven players & veterans don't want 21-year olds making huge sums when proven veterans are cut to save money. It's good to see Tony & his gorgeous wife October have a life outside football, it's not all-consuming, I really wonder just how badly he wants this labor unrest ended. He is near the end of his career & everyday he doesn't have to participate in an OTA or mini camp, is a good day with his family.

Terrell Suggs, Baltimore Ravens outside linebacker, isn't sitting around whining about the current lockout. He produced a short film & he's taking it to the Cannes Film Festival beginning the second week of May. Suggs revealed his real dream in life is to be a producer or director. The film he's entered at Cannes, "When Beautiful People Do Ugly Things" was also co-written by Suggs. He has a feature film he's been writing for over two years called "The Coalition" & it will be ready to go into production next month as well. Here's hoping he has a successful film career, it's nice to see an athlete with interests outside football, women, cars & bling.

All-Pro linebacker, film producer & screenwriter
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall is back in the news & once again, not for a good reason. Marshall was stabbed in the stomach by his wife Michi early this morning. When police & EMT personnel arrived at the Marshall home around 3AM, the couple insisted they had an argument, Michi threw a vase at Brandon, it shattered & he was impaled by a piece of broken glass. The EMT's knew better & after undergoing emergency surgery, the doctors stated Marshall had been stabbed by a 5" knife. He also had defensive wounds on both hands. Michi Marshall admitted to stabbing her soulmate & she was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Both could be charged with lying to police as well. Luckily for Marshall, the stab wound didn't pierce any vital organs & he should be fully recovered within 3-weeks. The ongoing drama that is Mr. & Mrs. Brandon Marshall could very well be too much for the Dolphins, he signed a high dollar contract with Miami last year & after receiving almost $9 million in bonus money, the Phish could release him & only suffer a $3 million hit to the wide receiver & the salary cap. This is the third time the couple has been involved in an incident of domestic violence. These crazy kids seem to love inflicting as much pain on the other as possible.

The loving couple Possibly their next home
Florida cornerback Janoris Jenkins, All-SEC defender, is in trouble again & it could signal the end to his Gator career. For the third time in 11 months, Jenkins was arrested by Gainesville Police. He was apprehended at 1AM in possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana in a downtown parking lot. He had been nailed with a similar charge this past January & last May, Jenkins was charged with resisting arrest after being tasered outside a Gainesville club. New coach Will Muschamp will have to decide if three strikes is indeed an out. The Gator program took a terrible P.R. beating with 26 arrests while Urban Meyer led the program. Is Muschamp going to continue to look the other way or will he make an example of the talented senior & dismiss him from the Gator program.
