AD FOR PORN EXPO INCLUDES 2 CHIEFS.....THE DENIALS COMING FAST & FURIOUS & THE LAWYERS KICKED OUT OF LABOR NEGOTIATIONS....AGAIN

It took nearly a month, but some ugliness resulting from an ad for "Exxxotica Expo 2011" on May 20th in Miami is causing quite an uproar. The ad shows two Chiefs, Eric Berry & Brandon Flowers, in uniform, named as "party hosts." There are so many things wrong with this I don't know where to start. First, displaying NFL players in their official uniforms violates the league's trademark. Second, the advertised partnership of NFL players & the porn business isn't the P.R. league officials desire, especially during the lockout. Third, the ad lists three recently drafted rookies including Kansas State's Daniel Thomas. Others listed as "party hosts" include Chicago safety Major Wright, Oakland WR Jacoby Ford, Houston cornerback Kareem Jackson & rookie defensive lineman Corey Luiget & running back Anthony Allen. Berry's agent, Chad Speck, issued a statement denying any involvement by Berry. He was in Kansas City the day of the Expo appearing live on WHB 810 radio & was at an area bookstore the following morning, present for a book signing appearance of a former Tennessee teammate. Representatives for Flowers, Wright, Jackson, Luiget & Thomas have all issued similar denials. But a quick check of Flowers' Twitter account reveals two Tweets about attending the day of the party on May 20th. Oh those social networks, the gift that keeps on giving. Jackson did admit he allowed the club hosting the "Exxxtravaganza" to use his name as a host, but said he didn't O.K. using his likeness in uniform & knew nothing about porn stars being the real attraction of the may event. The NFL is hot on the trail of anyone connected to this embarrassment & they have the powerful lawyers to make everyone's life miserable if they were any part of this Expo.

Overzealous attorney Jeffrey Kessler, representing the players in the current labor negotiations, has been kicked out yet again. "He almost, single-handed, blew up the process" according to a source who was in the room. Kessler & the other players' lawyer, Jim Quinn, were told to leave the room yesterday by DeMaurice Smith, the players chief negotiator. The legal pair, as well as the two employed by the league, were shutout of today's meetings. Both sides are working with the same 6-7 guys, rotating them. The owners are led by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell & he's accompanied by John Mara, Robert Kraft, Clark Hunt, Jerry Richardson & Dean Spanos. The player's contingent includes Mike Vrabel, Tony Richardson, Jeff Saturday, Dominique Foxworth, Kevin Mawae, Brian Waters & their leader, De Smith.

Two other items that have made me so optimistic, the owners had a long conference call last night after Tuesday's meetings. The league has also scheduled a formal meeting of all 32 owners next Tuesday & Wednesday in Chicago, possibly to vote on an offer that could end the lockout. Keep pluggin' guys, we need our NFL Football.
