MIZZOU SUFFERS A MAJOR LOSS

The Missouri Tigers suffered a big loss when starting left tackle Elvis Fisher ruptured his patellar tendon in his left knee & will be lost for the entire season. The senior from Florida started 40-consecutive games for Gary Pinkel's Tigers since his redshirt freshman year. He was moving up on NFL draft boards & was a serious candidate for All-BIG-12 honors after receiving honorable mention the past two seasons. he was just elected co-captain by his teammates last week. With his redshirt season already used up, Fisher can only work to rehab for the NFL Scouting Combine in February. According to the 3-deep depth chart Pinkel issued after spring practice, they'll have to go with Fishers' backup, redshirt freshman Anthony Gatti, who's yet to take a snap at the collegiate level. Fisher will undergo surgery tomorrow to repair the tendon. Major loss for the Tigers.
