FOLKS, I HAVE A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT
I started richsfootballreport.com about 2 1/2 years ago. Over the last year I've had another dream, to host a radio show that is an extension of what I do on the internet, just more interactive. A show about football & only football. A show that is informative, timely, with just the right amount of humor & sarcasm, sprinkled with opinion, that's what I envisioned.
The management at KRMS AM 1150 & KRMS FM 97.5 here at the Lake of the Ozarks, has offered me a spot, Monday evenings, between 6 & 7PM, to have such a show. It will run during the entire football season, right before the Monday Night game. I'll review the previous weekend's action, spotlighting some of the better games as well as the local teams, Mizzou, the Rams & Chiefs. The show will feature a preview of the Monday Night game & then we'll go to the phones to hear what you have to say. The format may need some tweaking from time to time, but this is how it will begin.
This coming Monday, August 22nd, Old Kinderhook's Bob Renken & KRMS on-air personality J.R. will begin the hour wrapping up "The Golf Show" for the season. This popular show has run some 11-years & they'll be back for more next Spring. But for now, they will transition this time slot over to football & that's where I come in. They plan to introduce me & help me feel at ease for a week or two of what will be a 25-week run.
I have Bob Renken & J.R. to thank for their confidence in me & the courage to a radio novice on the air. Listeners in a large area of Central Missouri can hear the show on 1150AM & 97.5 FM. The show can also be heard on the internet as they stream their programming. I recommend you go to their website before Monday evening to make certain you can receive their streaming programming. It might be you will have to listen to a podcast of the program. You might have to go into your security software & "allow" your computer to receive the streaming program.
I hope you'll give my new program a shot. I believe no matter your level of football interest or knowledge, you will find the show fun. That's my pledge, I want to make it fun. Give us a listen won't you?
