I DON'T EXPECT TO WIN ANYMORE BUT HOW ABOUT A GAME WHERE K.C. DOESN'T GET HUMILIATED?

The officiating was horrible in this game, horrible. CBS' 8th team of Don Criqui & Randy Cross was horrible in this game, horrible. That said, the worst part of this game was Todd Haley's football team. Ever since Charlie Weis was relieved of his duties late last season, the Chiefs have been outscored 155-27. I don't know where you leaned math, but this is as bad as it gets. Shelled 36-10, 30-7, 41-7 & 48-3(3 of those at home), the wheels have come off Haley's current edition of the Chiefs & I don't see even a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

There wasn't a single highlight from today's blowout in Detroit. Once again Matt cassel looked like a QB who couldn't start at any level. The offensive line was terrible, receivers let passes go thru their hands for interceptions, Dexter McCluster fumbled again this week & the defense was shredded again. Throw in stupid penalties, another makeable field goal that was missed & no real scoring opportunities after halftime. Wow, this team really stinks.

Was last season a mirage? Yes, to some extent, I warned you of our favorable schedule. I doubt anyone was happy to see Charlie Weis go, except Todd Haley. But since his departure, this team has truly fallen apart. The worst part of this is they don't look remotely like the team that won the AFC West last season. In three seasons, Haley is on his third offensive coordinator & 2nd defensive coordinator. The man has very good NFL talent at a number of positions & yet they get crushed week after week.

The coach said last week to point the finger straight at him, ultimately it's his responsibility to get this team prepared to play. Do they look prepared for anything other than losing? I'm sure a lot of Chiefs fans would love to point a finger at Haley, not their index finger either. I'll say it, they look worse than Herm's Chiefs.

I'd say the over/under on Todd Haley's future with Kansas City is the bye week. The Chiefs better be 2-3 on October 9th or he's gone. If Scott Pioli permits this kind of carnage to continue past then, We need to reevaluate his qualifications to run this team. But the good news is, they have $29 million left in unspent cap money, so they have that going for them. Is the plan to "Suck for Luck?" Lose them all so we can draft Stanford's Andrew Luck? I wonder what the plan really is or if there is in fact a plan.

No more "process" no more arrogance, no more excuses, no more stone walling the media & the fans, because we're out of patience, so lose the attitude. Arrowhead is going to have 40,000 fans disguised as empty seats very quickly. Is this where Clark Hunt wants to go? A return to the 80's? I've bucked this administration since early on & took a lot of heat for it. For those holdouts who think I'm ultra-negative, whatta ya think now? Chiefs fans, this is reality.

OK I'm a big enough person to say this, I was wrong, you were right. Haley has somehow ruined this team. How can he explain the same personnel playing so badly. We had a playoff in Arrowhead last January and now we look like the worst team in the league. How is this possible if it's not the coaches fault? Sorry for doubting you.

You are dead-on Rich. Haley/Pioli and their arrogant manner has created a big fat bullseye on this team. Haley has gotten rid of every strong-willed coach that had the intestinal fortitude and the pedigree that might and at times did disagree with him. Pioli made it a point to put his own stamp on this team this year, scraping his New England-like player evaluations and forcing the 'maverick' image.
Yes, 2010 was almost the perfect setup for success, and all Haley had to do was NOT mess it up. Now it's time to coach... and it's not happening.

This was a classic case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

There's a reason every team runs their training camps just about the same way, because it works!

If things don't get better very soon, bye week, I think we'll know the fate of our coach. I'd like to see Jeff Fisher in here next season.

The worst part for Chiefs fans...The blame will probably fall on the injuries (Best Defensive Player - IR, Best TE - IR, Best RB - IR) and we will be stuck with Haley another year... Though to the educated, everyone knows it is Haley's hugh EGO that is running this team into the ground...

      Sean,
I doubt they'll fire Haley until the season is over, but the decision will be made earlier than that so they can lineup a few candidates.

But stranger things have happened, say they finished 6-10, I think it would save Haley's job. Pros don't like losing & they aren't going to laydown so a coach they don't like will get canned. But frankly, I don't see them winning 6 games. In my preview I called for a 7-9 record & that was before Berry & Charles went down for the season.
