DOLPHINS TONY SPARANO IS OUT

The Miami Dolphins have announced Tony Sparano has been relieved of his duties as head football coach in Miami. The coaching scrap heap just became larger.

**UPDATE AT 3:15PM CENTRAL TIME
Dolphins owner Steven Ross will name Carl Peterson vice president of football operations for the Miami franchise. This is the same position Bill Parcells held before Ross bought the team. So King Carl is back in the saddle.

**UPDATE AT 3:50PM CENTRAL TIME
After watching 20-minutes of the Dolphin press conference someone finally asked about Carl Peterson & owner Steven Ross said "Carl Peterson is a personal friend of mine & is heading up Fanvision but he is not going to fill Bill Parcells old job."
